Just realized the topic sharing the same name that I replied to was a year old. To recap:
This forum software would have been out of date 2 decades ago. It doesn't even support the formatting it brags about below each reply box (how sad is it that you're bragging about simple formatting in 2015?).
It sorts topics by create date, instead of last post. So spam topics burry ongoing discussions. It doesn't indicate when a topic has new posts, so if anyone's interested in following up, they need to dig into each thread.
It now displays threads in reverse chronological order, so to follow a discussion you need to read the top post, scroll to the bottom and read that, then scroll up to the next post, then scroll up to the next post… it's ridiculous.
The login functionality is also extremely fragile, so that you often need to re-login between pages, and then reload.
And to top it all off, this terrible, home-rolled forum software routinely loses user data. If you type beyond an undocumented character limit (that's not displayed, nor is the text area limited to it), your post gets chopped off. You don't even get a warning that it's happened, you need to go back and read your own post to notice it. If you've been logged out and hit submit, is there an error? does it prompt for a log in? does it preserve your message in any way? Nope. It just submits that form and deletes what you've typed, with no feedback at all.
This forum software is a detriment to any podcast trying to build a community. It's actively garbage. You should delete it, and tell your shows to set up their own forums (which is trivial) or just start their own subreddit, or use any of the other services which haven't tried to half-assedly re-invent a wheel. A wheel that was readily available 20 years ago.
I don't usually pay attention to podcast networks, but I now definitely associate Wolfpop with "the guys who can't run a forum".
(but seriously, this forum software is awful)
Mr. BS it seems like CanonPodcast is available if you want to create that subreddit.
Something definitely needs to be done about the character limit.
And apparently two is the limit on consecutive posts, heh. Now I have a few very important thoughts on "The Goonies" that will have to go unexpressed.
